Showtime Announces Schedule of Events

Celebrating 20+ years of semiannual fabric markets, Summer Showtime 2011 announced that the show is scheduled  for June 5-8.
 
Social Events

There will be many networking opportunities at Showtime, giving attendees and exhibitors a chance to relax, mingle and network in an informal atmosphere. All events are free to all.

Sunday, June 5, Showtime celebrates its Opening Night Reception with a “Runway Fashion Show,” from 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Century Courtyard, weather permitting.  Participating vendors include Charles Martel, High 5, P/Kaufmann, Sunbrella, Victor Group, and Valdese Weavers. Models will take to the catwalk in fashions created from the latest articles introduced by the participating companies.

On Tuesday night, June 7, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Merchandise Mart Properties sponsors the “Showtime Social,” held in Suites at Market Square, Level One.
 
Educational Events

Showtime attendees will also have the opportunity to attend presentations by Swarovski Elements, and a tri-presentation by the Office of Textiles and Apparel (OTEXA), Cargo Logistics Network, and BB&T.

“Inspirations for Swarovski Elements: Spring/Summer 2012” presented by Jane Matteson will be at 10 a.m., Monday, June 6; and at 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 7.

A second educational seminar titled “Going Global…Business Beyond Borders”, given by OTEXA, Cargo Logistics Network, and BB&T will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, June 6, and at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 7.  More information about this seminar to follow.

The next Showtime takes place June 5-8, 2011, and the following December 4-7, 2011.
