Biltmore's® licensing division and Valdese Weavers announced a new partnership to create a collection of fabrics, inspired by the decor of Biltmore House. The fabrics pay homage to Biltmore's rich legacy, updating classic design motifs to suit the taste of today's consumer.

"Valdese Weavers and Biltmore are both North Carolina institutions that are committed to supporting the region and to creating beautiful products," said Tim Rosebrock, vice president and general manager of Biltmore's Licensed Products Division. "We are excited to work with them to add to our growing collection of home furnishings offerings."

Valdese will introduce ten Biltmore-inspired patterns, each available in six to ten colors. The fabrics will be introduced at the Showtime Fabric Fair in High Point, June 5-8. The Valdese showroom is located on the sixth floor of Market Square's Textile Tower.

"I am proud to announce the collaboration between North Carolina textile manufacturing and North Carolina decorative history in our first Biltmore-inspired collection," said Zack Taylor, Valdese Weavers vice president of sales and marketing. "Valdese Weavers prides itself on growing and evolving our design and production base here in North Carolina. The blend of our 'Made in the USA' manufacturing strength with Biltmore's rich heritage and archive has created a strong array of decorative jacquards and textures, artfully updated for today's lifestyles."

"An exuberant and fresh color palette consisting of today's most fashion-forward shades, such as plum, mulberry and charcoal, gives a modern edge to our fabric collection," said Ann Hackney, Valdese Weavers senior creative director. "We have interpreted classic Biltmore treasures collected from around the world, such as a hand-painted silk wallpaper and a hand-knotted Persian rug, into updated designs."

Valdese Weavers has designed and manufactured jacquard woven decorative fabrics in North Carolina since 1935. The company provides textile products for contract, residential furniture manufacturers, fabric distributors, home textiles and other specialty markets.
