Stanley Furniture announced that it has teamed up with Coastal Living to bring its line of seaside-inspired furniture into the Coastal Living Ultimate Beach House 2011. Located in the picturesque town of East Beach, a traditional Atlantic Coastal waterfront community in Norfolk, Virginia, the 3,110-square-foot house will showcase the best of coastal design with Stanley’s Coastal Living Collection, along with selections from the company’s Modern Craftsman, Continuum and The Classic Portfolio collections. The 2011 Ultimate Beach House is expected to draw 30,000 visitors and will open to the public for tours beginning July 28, 2011.
Designed for a simple, casual lifestyle, the house will feature traditional classic design reflective of Tidewater Virginia homes and is the perfect setting for Stanley’s Coastal Living Collection.
Phoebe Howard, the interior designer for the beach house, has selected signature Coastal Living Resort pieces, which blend a transitional cottage look with modern lines to create a casual, sophisticated vibe.
In the dining room, the Esplanade Buffet transitions from formal to more casual settings with distressed finishes and nautical design details. While the Tranquility Isle chest in the upstairs bedroom could work in any room of the house with its unique look. The chest boasts nine drawers with tarnished steel pulls inspired by ship cleats.

White oak veneers and hardwood solids feature heavy distressing and muted grain-baring finishes that emulate nature’s effect on wood. Meanwhile, the presence of a modified modern style is evident in the clean lines, floating tops and black wood stain.
