National Home Furnishings Association (NHFA) announced that it will give away a free iPad to two lucky furniture retailers who will win by simply visiting the NHFA Retailer Resource Center (RRC) during the upcoming High Point Furniture Market, October 22-27. To enter the drawing, retailers may give their business card to an NHFA member service representative in the RRC.  Winners will be notified one week after Market.

NHFA will introduce retailers to the many RRC exhibitors who offer iPad applications to help businesses run smoother and more profitably. “Every day, new technologies are proving valuable tools to help retailers run their businesses, “says NHFA’s Tim Timmons, senior director of marketing communications and education. “NHFA’s mission includes helping retailers access the best solutions, and the RRC is one key way we do that.” Retailing winners of NHFA’s iPad drawing will enjoy the benefits of some free apps as well.

NHFA RRC will also host its free High Point Market Seminar Series, October 22-25, 2011 in the RRC seminar room.  Speakers include the venerable Jerry Epperson who will share the latest stats and his observations on the state of the furniture industry; now and into the foreseeable future. Also on hand will be Connie Post and Martin Roberts with their insights on maximizing store potential. Other presentations cover advertising and marketing strategies, motivating the store sales team, closing the sale, showroom and color trends, business analysis and many other strategies to make your businesses more profitable.
