Lauded for their luxurious shade treatments and high-brow designs, Frederick Cooper announced that it will introduce new lamps by world-renowned designers, Alexander Julian and Larry Laslo at High Point Fall Market, October 22-27, 2011. Featuring superlative design, traditional craftsmanship, and contemporary relevance, lamps by Alexander Julian and Larry Laslo complement the brand’s illustrious image.

Hailing from a long history of design excellence, Alexander Julian adds his signature Americana style to his new lamps, like bold shapes, fabulous fabrics and alluring lines. Julian synergizes the line between haute couture and interior design with his well-known fashion infl uences – argyle, paisley, and fascinating stripes.

Together with his wife Meagan – an integral part of the creative process – the duo combines color and rich, interesting textures to design lamps that make an instant impact. Many of his original ready-to-wear designs are used for shading, most playfully in a unique new coastal group.

Known for his “contemporary with a twist” aesthetic, Larry Laslo will showcase architectural lamps, which mirror his legendary interior landscapes. As a seasoned style arbiter, Laslo designs with a “livable contemporary” approach, which stems from his belief that the best designs are inspired by individuality, tempered by function, and punctuated with the unexpected.
