Kimball Home, a division of Kimball International recently unveiled its new furniture showroom in Jasper Indiana. The showroom which features Kimball Home's bedroom and dining room collections is a part of a much larger display of office furniture systems, contract seating and health care furniture. Trade and consumer press were flown on Kimball's 2 jet aircraft and were treated to a day-long series of meetings and tours. Kimball Home's Director of Marketing, Robert Cribbs outlined aggressive plans to expand their product assortment and dealer network in the next 12 months. Since its founding in 1950, Kimball has grown from a local company with less than 30 employees into an international organization with operations in 16 states, Canada, England, Austria and Mexico having over 8,800 employees. Consumer products include office furniture, systems and seating under the Kimball, National and Harpers brands: Kimball home and home office furniture; and Kimball Victorian and French Furniture Reproductions. Products manufactured for some of the largest names in American business include electronic assemblies, television and audio cabinets, home furniture molded plastics, carbide cutting tools and metal stampings. Vertical integration allows Kimball to produce and provide their own raw materials for maximum quality and cost control. Kimball owns and maintains thousands of acres of managed forests, as well as saw mill and quality veneering operations.
