Storis Management Signs Agreement With Ethan Allen

Storis Mangement Systems announced that they have signed an agreement with Danbury based Ethan Allen Inc, to build upon the current J..D.Edwards system by automating it’s company Retail Division with Storis’s Retail Management Software System including Point of Sale, Warehousing and Distribution. The retail system is planned to be run on an IBM Risc 6000 Model M-80, quad processor initially with 600 concurrent users. Ethan Allen also plans to purchase Storis’s Warehouse Radio Frequency and Warehouse Management Systems to be installed at all 22 of its Company operated Retail Service Centers. Storis will develop a program to handle special order upholstery before the System is rolled out for implementation in the Company operated Retail Division. Surdoval, President of Storis Management Systems. "Key to this implementation was to demonstrate the ability to process both stock and special orders and provide customer information quickly to all of Ethan Allen Retail Professionals." STORIS Management Systems, an IBM Business partner, provides computer turnkey solutions for furniture, appliance, electronic, and music retailers. Over 300 retailers, including 22 of the TOP 100 retailers, have installed the STORIS system in the past decade.
