SCFMA ANNOUNCES 1997 APOLLO AWARD NOMINEES

In preparation for the International Casual Furniture Market in Chicago, the Summer and Casual Furniture Manufacturers Association (SCFMA) announced nominees for the 38th Annual Apollo Award. The Apollo Award will be presented at the awards banquet on August 23,1997 during the International Casual Furniture Market. The nominees for the 1997 Apollo Award are: Carl's Patio, Boca Raton, FL; Christy Sports, Lakewood, CO; Fishel's, Portland, OR; Georgia Backyard, Roswell, GA; Jimmie's Rustic, Livonia, MI; Paddock Pools, Scottsdale, AZ; Patio & Hearth, Centerville, OH; Patio Concepts, Fort Meyer, FL; Seasonal Concepts, Plymouth, MN; and Treasure Island, Mahwaah, NJ. The Apollo Award is presented annually to the retailer best representing excellence in retailing summer and casual furniture. Members of SCFMA judge retailers based on sales, business growth, creativity in advertising and marketing and promotional activities. The grand winner receives a trophy portraying the Sun God Apollo.
