Bombay Sapphire will showcase emma gardner design’s “Peacock” fabric at Salon del Mobile in Milan. The fabric, along with a rug, was commissioned by Bombay Sapphire gin in conjunction with their “Bombay Sapphire Inspired” campaign, which engages consumers with the brand in untraditional ways. The Sensuede™ fabric was silk screened by hand, and will be mounted on panels in Bombay’s booth at the Salon. “To be entrusted by a venerable company like Bombay Sapphire to interpret their brand is an enormous honor,” said Emma Gardner. “It was very satisfying to create these unique pieces, and I was flattered to have been asked to participate.” The rug and fabric include design elements from Bombay Sapphire’s label, and are done in shades of “Bombay blue”. They feature Queen Victoria’s sapphire medallion, paisleys, botanicals and peacocks. The rug and the fabric have also been used in a major advertising campaign in Western Europe.
