Sunbrella® brand fabrics will unveil new collections designed to appeal to virtually every lifestyle, from families with young children to urban sophisticates, during July Showtime in High Point, July 10-13. “Our new Sunbrella Home Front Collection features coordinated sets of fabrics that have been created with specific lifestyles in mind,” said Gina Wicker, design director for Glen Raven Custom Fabrics, LLC, the makers of Sunbrella. “The common thread throughout the new offerings is carefree fabrics that speak to how people live and play every day.” The Sunbrella Home Front Collection consists of four sets of coordinated fabrics – Play Date, Black Tie, Bridge Club and Island Excursion. Play Date The Sunbrella Play Date coordinated set is a group of fun, playful patterns that will grow with a family. Patterns in this collection are appropriate for children's bedrooms, play rooms or any room where high performance, cleanable fabrics in playful patterns and fun colors are desired. Patterns include Go Fish, a nautical theme in soft blues, Skip, a large scale pattern in playful colors, and Mojito, large scale circles in peach and yellow. Black Tie The Sunbrella Black Tie coordinated group is a sophisticated take on contemporary styling in classic color combinations anchored by black. Patterns range from a graphic, contemporary floral to a decadent texture combining both boucle and chenille yarns. Styles in this collection are headlined by Gibson, a contemporary graphic floral in sophisticated grays, Sasian, a raw silk look from designer Richard Frinier, and Gabby, a boucle/chenille texture by home design authority Joe Ruggiero. Bridge Club The Sunbrella Bridge Club coordinated set updates traditional styling with fresh colors and inviting textures. These fabrics echo traditional heritage and workmanship in a fashion forward color palette that will be at home in formal and informal dining. Look for a variety of patterns in this group, including Williamson, a traditional diamond pattern in soft green, Fletcher, an Asian floral with textured ground in wheat, and Brevard, an arts and crafts look in soft pinks and greens. Island Excursion The Sunbrella Island Excursion coordinated set brings a tropical flare to a traditional color palette. At home in the city or on the coast, this group features tropical-themed patterns along with traditional coordinates and textures. This collection borrows names from exotic locales, such as Bali, a multi-colored traditional tropical, Cancun, a palm tree pattern in a deep green/taupe combination, and Savanna, a nubby texture in a soft neutral by Frinier. “The Sunbrella Home Front Collection truly demonstrates the styling and marketing range of our performance fabrics,” Wicker said. “We believe that every consumer is attracted to a carefree lifestyle, and with our new collection they can have all of the benefits of performance fabrics, plus the look and feel that suits the way they live.” Glen Raven revolutionized the way the world thinks about how beautiful fabrics perform with the introduction of Sunbrella in 1962. Today, durable, easy-care Sunbrella is available in thousands of sophisticated styles, patterns and colors for wherever people live, work and play. Glen Raven, Inc. is based in Glen Raven, N.C. and supplies performance fabrics to customers in more than 120 countries. On the web at www.sunbrella.com.
