Binke most recently was executive vice president of sales for Comfort Solutions.
E.S. Kluft & Co., maker and distributor of the Aireloom and Kluft brand luxury mattresses, said that David Binke, a 30-year industry veteran, has joined the company to help set the strategic direction of the company and head its sales and marketing efforts in the Central and Eastern United States.
Binke most recently was executive vice president of sales for Comfort Solutions, a position he held for the last five and a half years. Prior to that, he was executive vice president of sales for the Spring Air brand under several different ownerships, one of which was a 10 year partnership with E.S. Kluft & Co. President and CEO Earl Kluft when he owned the nation’s largest Spring Air plant. Before coming over to the manufacturing side of the business, Binke was a buyer with Robinsons-May, and divisional merchandise manager for Macy’s and Montgomery Ward.
While Binke will focus on the East and select national accounts, Senior Vice President of Sales Howard Galant will now oversee the Western United States and select export accounts for the two brands.
“As our business has grown significantly in the East and with our new larger plant in Pennsylvania, we needed to expand our executive management team to help us continue to grow and develop deeper relationships with our dealers,” said Kluft. “I have known David for a very long time and we had both successfully worked together along with Howard for many years. I think he is one of the best sales leaders and executives in the business today, and Howard and I are pleased to be reunited with him.”
“I have been watching Earl build an exciting national brand for several years now. I was at a stage in my career where I was yearning for a more entrepreneurial experience, which I believe I’ve found with the Kluft and Aireloom brands. Working again with Earl and his team is a very exciting opportunity that I will truly value,” said Binke.
Binke received his bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University where he majored in advertising and retail management.
He and his family reside in Naperville, IL.
