Reid brings to her new position more than 14 years experience with Hickory Springs.
Hickory Springs Manufacturing Company, one of the nation’s largest integrated solutions companies and international supplier of components to the transportation, furniture, bedding, and a growing number of diversified markets, announces the promotion of Valerie Reid to the position of chief financial officer, effective immediately. Reid will report directly to Dave Colburn, Hickory Springs president and CEO.

Reid brings to her new position more than 14 years experience with Hickory Springs. Hired as a senior accountant in 1999, she held several positions, including corporate controller and director treasury and analysis, before being promoted to the position of finance director in 2011. Last year she was named corporate assistant treasurer, the position she held prior to her recent promotion.
Reid earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She holds an active Certified Public Accountant license and is a member of the North Carolina Association of Certified Public Accountants (NCACPA).
