Article Summary: This is the first ARTS Award win for the renowned designer of textiles, decorative throw pillows, drapery, bedding, lighting, art and rugs.

Beth Lacefield, Founder and Creative Director of Lacefield Designs, was presented with the ARTS Award for Product Designer of the Year at the 24th Annual Awards Gala, held Saturday, January 19th at The Hotel Anatole in Dallas, Texas. This is the first ARTS Award win for the renowned designer of textiles, decorative throw pillows, drapery, bedding, lighting, art and rugs.

Considered to be the premier awards program in the decorative accessory industry, ARTS Awards are determined by a vote of peers – fellow manufacturers and designers, retailers, sales representatives, as well as other industry professionals. In partnership with the Dallas Market Center, the Accessories Resource Team (ART) has hosted the prestigious ARTS Awards Gala for over two decades.

Lacefield submitted a Moroccan inspired bedding collection, using printed fabrics from the Lacefield Designs textile line, for on site judging. In addition to the bedding, which was designed and manufactured for a leading US home furnishings catalog, a digital presentation outlining the history of Lacefield Designs, the brand story, Lacefield’s inspiration, as well as current product offerings, was submitted for judging.

A twenty year veteran in the decorative accessory industry, Beth Lacefield is a true artist by nature. As a collector of all manner of things – from vintage textiles, beads, buttons, rusty hardware, design books and French manuscripts – Beth is constantly inspired by the world around her. Her style is always evolving, but stays true to approachable design with a balance of structure and imperfection; masculine and feminine; modern and vintage; comfort and sophistication. Layering textures, patterns and color has become the hallmark of Beth’s style. The ‘Lacefield look’ is derived from a focus on the
tiniest details that make each Lacefield Designs product unique.

“It was such an honor to be nominated, let alone win this award. 2012 was a fantastic year for Lacefield Designs in terms of the growth of new product offerings with our recent partnership with Surya,” said Beth Lacefield. “To be recognized in this way by industry peers means so much to the entire Lacefield Designs team”.
