Bienenstock Furniture Library Seeks Designer Submissions For Website "Spotlight" Feature

The Bienenstock Furniture Library announced that it has launched a featured area on its web site entitled “Spotlight.”
"In keeping with the Library’s transition into a worldwide center for design, research and collaboration will use our 'Spotlight' to connect with designers worldwide and to share their experiences & designs with others," commented Charles Sutton, President.
“Spotlight” will highlight new designers monthly, with a focus on furniture designers. It will also be feature designers of textiles, finishes/constructions, architecture, and interiors.
"We will be looking for furniture designers and their designs/products," noted Karla Webb, Cureator, "who are advancing the practice of design, leading edge and/or world-class in their niche, of interest to professional designers and/or scholars or interest nationally and internationally.
To help professionals to see – and use – the Library in new ways, “Spotlight” will leverage content on multiple platforms.
Submissions should include:
- Live links (the url internet address) to designers/designs selected – and, if possible, to designers proprietary web site, their association/consortium sites (if any), primary manufacturing partner (if any).
- Comments/insights about why the design has meaning, why you think it different, directional, inspiring. Speak in your personal, professional voice.
Email submissions to: Library board member Stephanie Lowder slowder@rarebirdcreative.com will post submissions to the www.furniturelibrary.com web site.
Social Media Repurposing: Library board members Leslie Carothers and Stephanie Lowder will reach out to the greater community and point people to “Spotlight” features via social media. These channels allow the greater community to engage, comment, and share their experience with their own circles.
