Gorman’s Home Furnishings Welcomes Designer Leen Zabalawi To Gorman’s In Shelby Township

Gorman’s Home Furnishings And Interior Design announced the addition of Leen Zabalawi to its design center, in Shelby Township, as an interior designer.

In this position, Zabalawi is responsible for working with homeowners to select furniture and accessories; provide in-home design counsel, including floor plans, furniture placement and room designs; and the selling of home furnishings. She has experience in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Autodesk 3D Max, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator and hand drafting, among other skills.

Zabalawi is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). Prior to joining Gorman’s, she was employed as an intern at Blu Sol Design in Macomb, Mich.

Fluent in Arabic, the Rochester Hills resident was born and raised in Jordan. She attended Wayne State University, where she received a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in Interior Design and Art Instruction Schools, where she received a diploma in fine art as well as two Blue Ribbon Art Awards and a Merit Art Award. Zabalawi also received a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy at the Jordan University of Science and Technology.
