Norwalk Furniture Moving High Point Showroom

Furniture World News Desk on 9/17/2014

Norwalk Furniture announced that it is moving to a new, larger showroom in the IHFC’s Main wing, space 108, for the October High Point Market.

With the move to the 9,300-square-foot space, the company expands its display area by about one-third versus its previous location in the Design Center of the IHFC. The move will give the domestic upholstery manufacturer room to exhibit a number of additional product collections and introductions, including a major new Build Your Own Sofa program and a new SleepOver Solutions convertible sofa collection.

“After five years, it is time to move our showroom to a larger location where buyers can more easily discover all that we have to offer — our beautiful designs, our fabulous selection of fabrics, the nearly endless customization options and our American-made quality,” says Reyna Moore, vice president of marketing and merchandising.

“In addition to showcasing more product, Norwalk’s new showroom location also will be much easier for retailers to shop,” Moore adds. “The Main wing is right in the heart of the market action, providing easier access for dealers. We expect the location in our new showroom will be more convenient for both current and future dealers, and as a result will generate greater walk-in traffic for us.”

Moore adds that Norwalk feels “quite compatible with our new neighbors on the first floor, who offer products with a similar price range and design aesthetic.”

With 20-foot ceilings and a roomier, more flexible layout, the new showroom will heighten the drama of Norwalk’s product displays and allow the company to exhibit a broader cross section of its extensive product line. Hospitality, always a hallmark of the Norwalk showroom, will be expanded with a new dedicated bar and separate café food service area.

“We’re excited about growing our business through this investment in a new, larger showroom,” Moore says. “Because it is on a major market thoroughfare with lots of glass display windows, we’re confident this new location will help us attract new dealers and additional designer accounts, as well as enabling us to better serve our current dealers.”
