Second Annual “For Your Home” Philanthropy House Gala Raises Over $18,000

LaurelHouse Designs reported that the Second Annual “For Your Home” Philanthropy Gala was attended by a sold out crowd on October 9th at a newly renovated home in Charlotte’s Morrocroft neighborhood. The evening benefited the Oncology/Hematology Clinic at the Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. Over 150 guests toured the home, met the designers and craftsmen, and participated in a silent auction for the contemporary furnishings selected by FYH host, Vicki Payne.

LaurelHouse Designs donated 7 pieces to the show house. The donated pieces included accent tables and chests, and were featured in the living room, dining room, master and guest bedrooms, and in the home office.

The evening was sponsored by Charlotte Living Magazine and will be featured in an upcoming episode of For Your Home (FYH), one of the longest running national home and garden television series on PBS.

Vicki Payne, FYH host and designer, transformed the 30-year-old Morrocroft home into a stunning contemporary show place. This is a very personal cause for all the FYH family. The FYH General Contractor, Josh Jones’s daughter Libby was just 3 years old when she lost her battle with leukemia a few short months ago.

“LaurelHouse Designs was happy to participate in this worthy project,” said John Labarowski, president and founder of LaurelHouse Designs. “Cancer touches the lives of so many, and it is especially heartbreaking when children are affected.”

Founded in 2012, LaurelHouse Designs’ collections of occasional and accent furniture are designed to correlate with better upholstery in both the living and family room, and the accent furniture is designed to create interest in every room in the home.

LaurelHouse Designs targets better department and furniture stores, and is available to the design trade.
