Paramount Sleep Licenses Bedding Brands to Sound Sleep Products

Paramount Sleep announced that Sumner, Wash., bedding manufacturer Sound Sleep Products, Inc., has licensed its bedding brands. Sound Sleep also has signed a license with Paramount to manufacture and sell A.H. Beard, an Australian luxury line that Paramount holds exclusive rights to in the United States.

“Sound Sleep is a strong vertical supplier in the Pacific Northwest, known for their innovation in the marketplace. With the consolidation of the bedding market, it creates a good opportunity for our companies to develop a strategic alliance,” said Jamie Diamonstein, managing director of Paramount Sleep.

Sound Sleep Products traces its origins to 1934 as Case Littell Furniture. In 1993 John Larsen purchased the company and it became a full bedding manufacturing facility in 1994. Since then it has grown from a small, local company to a large regional bedding producer serving the entire Pacific Northwest, and one of the most vertical producers in the country.

“The Paramount alliance offers us a unique opportunity to continue our growth and expand our customer base to retailers we do not currently serve,” said Sound Sleep President John Larsen. “This partnership will allow us to continue our quest of offering quality products, delivered on time, to an even larger audience.”

Sound Sleep will produce Paramount mattress lines including HD Super Duty, Nature’s Spa, and Back Performance, as well as A.H. Beard.

This is Paramount Sleep’s fifth such partnership expanding its national distribution. Earlier agreements with Fresno, Calif.-based Cannon Sleep Products, Omaha, Neb.-based Omaha Bedding, Miami-based Biscayne Bedding, and Cabot, Ark.-based Dreamline Bedding expanded the company’s presence from its Norfolk, Va., plant into western, Midwestern and southeastern markets.
