Wholesale Interiors / Baxton Studio Opens New Furniture Distribution Facility in Midwest

Wholesale Interiors / Baxton Studio reported that it has opened a second 300,000 square foot warehouse and distribution facility in Bensenville to improve furniture inventory availability and express shipping speed timeframes. This brings total distribution within Chicago to 565,000 square feet, making Wholesale Interiors / Baxton Studio Illinois’ largest furniture distributor.

The living room, dining room and bedroom supplier has an existing 265,000 square feet in Bensenville, IL. This second location will serve to augment in the increase in demand from national furniture retailers, online stores and interior designers.

“We have strategically located our distribution centers in the Midwest to take advantage of the great railway and highway systems around Chicago. We can deliver furniture to the coasts within a few days,” Haowei Shen, CEO of Wholesale Interiors / Baxton Studio said in a statement. “Opening the new warehouse will allow us to stock each of our products deeper and to offer new lines over the next few years.”

Customers will start shipping from the new warehouse immediately. The warehouse will primarily stock the bedroom, dining room and outdoor furniture category.

The new warehouse will add up to an additional 50 new employees by mid 2015.
