Williams Home Furnishings Joins Forces with Furniture of America

Full line resource Furniture of America, and the importer/distributor Williams Home Furnishings, have announced that Williams Home Furnishings has become part of the Furniture of America Group.

As a result of the agreement, Williams Home Furnishings, which has imported and distributed furniture under that name for 30 years, is now called Furniture of America North California. Effective immediately, it will be responsible for FOA distribution in Northern California and the Northwest U.S.

Commenting on the change, David Chang, President and CEO of Williams Home Furniture, said, “We want to provide our valued partners with the best and largest assortment of quality furniture in the industry, while still maintaining the quality and service standards our customers have come to expect from us.”

He noted that many of Williams Home Furnishings best sellers are now incorporated as part of Furniture of America’s comprehensive 788-page catalog, available now.

Chang added that by becoming part of Furniture of America, he is now also able to increase his product offerings and product availability. “And with the Furniture of America sourcing team in Asia, we become part of a much larger manufacturing and sourcing entity known for quality products and excellent quality control,” he added.

One of the upsides of the partnership for Furniture of America is that now, all of the company’s customers in the San Francisco Bay/ Northern California area, which had been serviced by common carriers, now benefit from faster and more efficient delivery using FOA’s own trucks.

Furniture of America, a 10-year old company that has enjoyed continued growth, is headquartered in Southern California and has more than 850,000 square feet of warehouse and distribution in the City of Industry. The company also has warehouse and distribution facilities in New Jersey, Atlanta and coming this year, a warehouse in Dallas, Texas.
