Michael Aram Launches New Furniture, Lighting Fireplace And Home Décor At High Point

Furniture World News Desk on 2/21/2015

Michael Aram, an award winning New York based artist who is known globally for his fine metal work, sculpture and functional art, is debuting at North Carolina’s High Point Market for the first time in over a decade. The designer will debut new, statement-making pieces from his spring 2015 collections. Aram is no stranger to furniture and lighting on a large scale, but this launch marks the first time he has offered these categories at the furniture-focused High Point Market.

Aram has focused this season on giving customers more options through coffee tables, side tables, large mirrors and lighting. His popular designs like: Fallen Leaves – which features hand-sculpted bronze leaves suspended in polished aluminum, Rock – an architectural nod to Russian constructivism and rock and roll glam, as well as Molten – rooted in craft with its hand-set beads of molten metal, effortlessly transition from tabletop to large-scale, functional furniture. The mirrors provide a conversation piece at dinner parties and boldly make a statement in any room, enhancing a variety of interior designs from traditional to modern.

When the weather cools down this fall, there’s no better time to light a fire. Aram has sculpted wonderful accessories to elevate the fireside experience to one of true beauty and elegance through decorative andirons, screens and tools that reference his current tabletop collections.

“Furniture and lighting are important categories to me because they tell a story in a subtle or loud way,” says the designer. “They serve as interesting markers as your eye wanders through a room, and provide another layer of personality in a person’s casual yet elegant lifestyle.”
