Las Vegas Market Announces Home Décor and Gift Leasing Gains

Furniture World News Desk on 4/20/2015

Las Vegas Market announced that its furniture, home décor and gift leasing gains of the past three years are continuing their upward trajectory, with increases in both new and expanded showrooms planned for the upcoming Summer 2015 Las Vegas Market, August 2-6, 2015.

“Las Vegas Market continues to generate substantial momentum throughout the furniture, gift and home décor categories, dramatically increasing the number, diversity and quality of resources,” said Scott Eckman, executive vice president, International Market Centers. “We are seeing renewed commitments from existing tenants across all categories as well as an increase in high-end resources. August marks our 10th anniversary, as well the third and final phase of our strategic growth plan to position Las Vegas Market as the leading furniture, home décor and gift destination in the western United States. We are proud of the partnerships we have established with our customers and look forward to forging new relationships as we continue to grow and expand in the years to come.”

Highlights in the established furniture category include the addition of new resources, as well as expansions, renewals and relocations of existing tenants. Newcomers for the summer market include Crosley Brands (stylish indoor and outdoor furniture and nostalgic electronics) in 3,592 square feet on A9; Little Castle Furniture (upholstered chairs, rockers, loveseats and settees for children) in 2,824 square feet on A9; and Joybird Furniture (high-quality, customizable mid-century modern furniture) in 4,409 square feet on B6.

Returning furniture tenants expanding their showrooms for summer market include Argo Furniture (living, dining and bedroom furniture), expanding by nearly 45% to 5,908 square feet on B6; Sonax (easy-to-assemble indoor and outdoor furniture), nearly doubling its space to 8,049 square feet on A6; and Southern Motion (reclining furniture) expanding more than 20% into a 15,252 square foot space on B10. In addition, two existing tenants have renewed and relocated for summer 2015: Bush Furniture, supplier of office furniture moves to A10; and Moroni, supplier of Italian-inspired leather furniture, moves into a new showroom on B6.

Beyond new and expanding furniture resources, Las Vegas Market expects significant gains in gift and home décor resources for the Summer Market. The first wave of confirmed Gift and home décor newcomers for August includes Hot Skwash, manufacturer of handmade luxury tabletop décor, opening a 338-square-foot showroom on C10; Lynn Mitchell Group, a sales agency representing more than 50 stationery, handcrafted and better goods lines, opening a 2,293-square-foot showroom on C10; Mixture, a supplier of candles and gifts, opening a 1,590-square-foot showroom on C10; and Gold Eagle, a supplier of permanent botanicals, opening a new 2,569-square-foot showroom on A4.

First among several significant gift and home décor showroom expansions planned for Summer Market are UMA, which is increasing its showroom by 63% to a 27,764-square-foot space on C7 showcasing its tabletop, accessories, wall decor, accent furniture, floral accessories, garden items and holiday décor; and multi-line gift and home décor resource Midwest CBK – with new lines G! and Noelle – in a 13,493-square-foot showroom on C9.

Summer Market also marks the premiere of the casual furniture launch at Las Vegas Market, with 250,000 square feet of permanent showrooms and temporary exhibit space on the 12th and 13th floors of Building C exponentially expanding the Market’s existing casual/outdoor resources. The previously announced, and growing list of leading casual manufacturers showing at Summer Market include: Agio, America’s Backyards & Outdoor Living, Tommy Bahama, Corriveau, Ebel, Inc., Hanamint, Kannoa, Outdoor by Design, OW Lee, Inc., Panama Jack, Patiologic, Pelican Reef, Poly-Wood, Inc., South Sea Rattan Collections, Summer Classics, Skyline Design, Sunset West, Three Birds Casual, Treasure Garden, Veneman, Zuo Modern, and more.

Other highlights of Summer Market include a celebration of the Market’s 10-year anniversary; the creation of C11, a new showroom floor for gourmet housewares, tabletop and specialty food; the continuing growth of C5, another new permanent showroom floor for boutique home décor, high-end home textiles and accessories; and the repositioning and reimagining of the Market’s temporary exhibits as The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market, a dramatic, freestanding, climate controlled temporary tradeshow space showcasing some 90,000 net square feet of innovative and emerging gift and home décor resources.
