Education Golf Tournament Slated For September

The Solution Partners division of the American Home Furnishings Alliance will hold its 25th annual Education Golf Tournament September 30 at Lake Hickory Country Club in Hickory, N.C.

The event helps fund various education initiatives within the home furnishings industry, including a new research effort this year designed to help identify and address obstacles to solving the growing skilled worker shortage in the upholstered furniture industry.

The tournament also supports the Solution Partners Scholarship Program, the only scholarship providing educational support for the children of industry workers. Since 1990, the program has awarded 76 scholarships.

With the cost of higher education rising every year, interest in the Solution Partners Scholarship Program has been growing. It awards six $2,000 scholarships each year. Recipients are selected based on financial need and academic merit.

Golf tournament registration is open to all interested players from any segment of the home furnishings industry. Registration is $500 for a foursome or $150 per player.
