ICFF Spotlights Casegoods

Furniture World News Desk on 4/29/2015

ICFF reported that it will spotlight a selection of casegoods that combine furniture, storage and sophistication at the upcoming show held May 16-19. The following exhibitors and more will be among the 700+ brands featured at ICFF at New York’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.

De Castelli: De Castelli is known for merging its artisan tradition with the latest technologies. The Celato is a piece of furniture, like a dresser, that has a lot of concealed and secretive drawers at different heights. Made of birch, the drawers can be opened just by gently pushing on them. The shell serves as a casing for the core wood structure and is available in maistral copper, acid-etched iron and acid-etched brass, as well as other metal finishes used by De Castelli.

Fringe Studio: Fringe Studio designs and manufactures handcrafted American made furniture, using locally harvested claro walnut, bronze finishes, water based lacquer, custom hardware and other refined materials to define its custom pieces. The Mixi Modular Watermark Cabinet is a chest of drawers with custom dark brass finished drawer hardware and a corresponding steel base. Mixing the old with the modern, this piece is finished with a printing process that runs fluid across the cabinet in a marbleized vintage book design.

Ercol Furniture: Founded in 1920, Ercol Furniture specializes in creating wood furniture primarily in, elm, oak, ash, walnut and beech. The Svelto sideboard is a unit with generous storage and display space. With its multiple compartments in varyinn sizes, the shelving can be arranged in a variety of formations. The doors are mounted on an asymmetric slide, so the left hand compartment is always exposed.

Millicent: Recreating traditional Hispanic craft in a modern dialect, Millicent pulls its inspiration from botany, fabric and urban infrastructure. The Kit Carson Electric Console was inspired by the geometry of urban structures in the New Mexican landscape. The console is hand carved with touch latches, brass hardware and has media and custom options available.

Khouri Guzman Bunce Lininger (KGBL): Khouri Guzman Bunce Lininger (KGBL) designs and produces a line of handcrafted American Furniture. The design of the line is very modern, while also utilizing methods linked with older levels of craftsmanship. The Ingemar Cabinet features a two inch wide silicon bronze strap that borders the piece and converts into legs at the base. To augment its distinctive grain design, the cabinet has an African Ebony veneer finish. Its adjustable shelves are made of black glass, compatible with the warm undertones of the wood and bronze.
