Wright Global Graphics Wins Seven “Pica” Awards

Wright Global Graphics (WGG), a leader in printing and marketing solutions for the consumer packaged goods, action sports and home furnishings industries, was recognized with a total of seven accolades at this year’s Printing Industry of the Carolinas (PICA) Awards, one of the largest printing competitions in the nation. The announcement was made on April 18th during the 2014 PICA Awards Banquet in Concord, NC with more than 265 industry professionals in attendance.
Wright received three Best of Category for Digital Printing: Tags & Labels, Foil Stamping, Embossing or Debossing, and Wide Format Printing: Display Graphics. In addition, Wright also won four Special Judges Awards. Two were for Digital Printing, one for Wide Format Printing: Display Graphics and one for Wide Format Printing: Signs & Banners.

This year, the PICA Awards attracted more than 560 entries. Judging criteria included: registration, crossovers, clarity and neatness, sharpness of halftones and line drawings, richness and tonal qualities of color, paper and ink selection, ink coverage, difficulty of printing, effective contrast or softness, finishing, bindery, and overall visual impact.
