Marge Carson Holds National Sales Meeting

Marge Carson reported that approximately 35 sales representatives and managers recently convened at the headquarters of luxury furniture brand for the company’s semi-annual, three-day national sales meeting.

The meeting featured a factory tour with detailed training sessions on every step of manufacturing from frame construction to fabric matching and finishing touches such as handwork, buttons and trims. Director of Design Christine Rendino presented style and trend education and gave a preview of Marge Carson’s Mid-Century Modern-styled “Lake Shore Drive” collection set to debut at the October High Point Market. Reps and management shared best practices, brainstormed ideas and enjoyed special outings for dinner and even took in a Los Angeles Angels baseball game.

“As a company, we seek to be open and receptive to new ideas and respond to the marketplace,” said Will Sharp, president. “The input we get from our reps in terms of market and consumer needs is very valuable.” The meeting was also a chance to “re-charge our enthusiasm and affirm our future direction,” he said.

Much of the factory tour and education focused on “the Marge Carson way,” Sharp said. “We want everyone to be aware of the amount of time and care that goes into every furniture piece from concept to execution. We never take things out of the products, but always seek to add more and more value. We’re committed to perfection and zero flaws.
