Las Vegas Market Announces Market Dates Through 2020

Las Vegas Market recently announced the dates for Winter and Summer 2018, 2019 and 2020 events, which are in keeping with the current date pattern of late January and July, respectively.

“Based on the positive feedback and continued increased attendance, we are maintaining our existing date schedule to best serve the needs of our customers, who are our primary focus,” said Bob Maricich, Chief Executive Officer of International Market Centers (IMC). “They avoid conflicts with major markets and allow us to maximize experience for tenants and buyers. This pattern enables us to partner with complementary events in Las Vegas – including ASD for our Summer Market this year – offering an added benefit to attendees at no additional cost.”

Winter Market 2016 registered the highest attendance numbers in the Market’s 10-year history, with the busiest-ever opening day on record, fueled largely by recent explosive growth in gift and home décor resources, which resulted in gains of 22% in gift buyer attendance and 5% in home décor buyer attendance. The furniture category – with nearly 100% occupancy in furniture showrooms, 95% of the nation’s bedding industry represented, and continued expansion among newly launched casual floors – maintained its strong buyer base. Buyers attended from all 50 states and 77 countries.

Summer Market highlights include the addition of some 40 new tenants in the gift, housewares and home décor categories as well as 50 new furniture companies; concentration of new boutique home décor resources on C5; the targeted expansion of C11 as the industry’s newest destination for gift-oriented housewares, gourmet products, specialty food and tabletop items; continued expansion in casual and outdoor products on C12 and C13; presentation of the top 15 bedding manufacturers; sold out home furnishings temporaries on B2 and expansion of The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market to feature some 500 temporary exhibitors.
