Cory Honors Team Member’s 50 Years Of Service

Cory recently announced that CEO Patrick Cory along with fellow executives Marin Dragojevic, Odeh Ahmad, Bob Alter and Johanna Soto hosted the first annual Silver Circle dinner and honored the retirement of Pedro Rivera who has serviced Cory for 50 years.
Pedro, who began his life-long career in 1966, remembers working side by side with Cory’s founder Joseph Cory and his brother John. Through the years Pedro did many jobs. He developed the skill of inspecting product received and then re-inspecting pieces when ready to be delivered. Pedro became a master craftsman saving both our retail clients and Cory the time and cost of manufacturer returns and customer disappointments. Quality craftsmanship was his job and life for 50 years.
Patrick Cory stated, during the evenings’ celebration, “Pedro is part of our Cory family. He taught me and many family members the business over the past 5 decades. In today’s world dedication and loyalty is uncommon, especially for 50 years. Pedro dedicated his life to servicing Cory and its clients” Pat continued, “Thank you Pedro, thank you for your service, your loyalty and commitment not just to Cory but to your fellow team members and the many clients you served.”
Surrounded by his family and fellow team members Pedro thanked Patrick and the Cory family and remembered how much he enjoyed working with Patrick’s dad Joe and Joe’s brother Jim. Spoken like a true gentleman he wished Patrick and the Cory family another 82 years of success.
Cory also inducted 13 team members into the Cory Silver Circle. This elite group recognizes the longevity of team members with 25 plus years of service and this year marks the first dinner to honor them.
