Pleasant Mattress Names Russell Raymond Director Of Operations

Pleasant Mattress, a third-generation family-owned West Coast mattress supplier, recently announced that they have named Russell Raymond director of operations, a new position for the growing company.

With 24 years of project management and manufacturing efficiency experience, Raymond oversees the company’s manufacturing operations. He has an extensive background in supply chain management, team building, lean manufacturing, cost reduction strategies, workflow planning, inventory control and more. Prior to joining Pleasant, Raymond was the plant manager for Brake Parts Inc. where he managed $50 million in annual sales and was responsible for the company’s operations. During his tenure with the company, Raymond increased production volume by 20 percent and reduced shortages by 70 percent all while streamlining production and boosting employee morale.

Raymond’s other prior work experience includes managing factories and operations with several other companies, including D & W Fine Pack, Crest Steel, Acco Brands and Leitch.

In addition to his professional experience, Raymond has a number of professional training certificates in work flow management. He lives in Fresno, Calif.
