Pleasant Mattress Holds 22nd Annual Summer Celebration

Furniture World News Desk on 8/15/2016

West Coast mattress supplier Pleasant Mattress reported that it  recently celebrated its employee family by hosting 516 employees and family members for a day of fun at its 22nd Annual Summer Celebration.

Hosted at Island Waterpark, a Fresno, Calif., amusement park, this year’s event netted the largest turnout yet.

“We believe our employees really keep the wheels turning at Pleasant Mattress and celebrating with them really brings out the culture that we’re one big family,” said Rion Morgenstern, president and CEO of Pleasant Mattress. “Our entire team works extraordinarily hard every day ensuring we craft the best product possible. A celebratory play day is just part of how we demonstrate our appreciation and say thanks to our Pleasant Mattress family.”

The company holds a number of quarterly events ranging from barbecues and Christmas celebrations onsite to its family friendly Summer Celebration featuring a day of water fun and catered picnic for employees and their families.

The annual event has continued to gain in popularity among company employees more than doubling in three years. In 2013, 250 people turned out for the fun compared to this year’s total of more than 500.
Many of Pleasant Mattress’ employees are long-time team members –and many are multi-generational – and Morgenstern credits much of that longevity to the company’s family atmosphere.

“We know our employees are more dedicated when we demonstrate our appreciation for them,” he said. “It’s an investment that we take very seriously, and we know it pays great dividends.”
