Las Vegas Market Enhances Home Décor Presentation

Furniture World News Desk on 11/20/2016

Las Vegas Market announced recently that three new anchor tenants – Mercana Furniture & Décor, Three Hands Corporation and Picture Depot – are relocating to expanded showrooms on B3, creating the Market’s newest home décor hub and continuing a general concentration of home décor resources in defined locations in time for the Winter 2017 Las Vegas Market, running January 22-26, 2017.

“Las Vegas Market continues to aggregate better home décor resources into cohesive collections to produce a more synergistic shopping experience for retailers and designers,” said Dorothy Belshaw, president of Gift & Home Décor, International Market Centers. “Coming on the heels of last month’s announcement of new and expanded home décor showrooms concentrated on C3, Las Vegas Market is focused on creating a more effective and efficient groupings of category aesthetics and price points. As the leading furniture, home decor and gift destination in the western United States, Las Vegas Market is continuing to attract growing numbers of national and regional home décor firms, a trend that further enriches the already-robust product assortment available to attendees.”

The three new anchor tenants are relocating from Las Vegas Market’s Building A to new, larger showrooms on B3. British Columbia-based Mercana Furniture & Décor, one of Canada’s leading home furnishings producers of unique wall art, lighting, furniture and accessories, is more than tripling its showroom, expanding to a 9,782-square-foot space; California-based Three Hands Corporation, a well-known designer and importer of fashionable lifestyle merchandise, including wall décor, lighting, furniture, home accessories and garden products, is more than quadrupling its showroom with a 8,885-square-foot location; and Picture Depot, a Toronto-based manufacturer of framed prints and mirrors, is tripling its presentation with a 3,171-square foot showroom.

These newcomers to B3 join a stellar roster of home décor tenants on the floor. Current B3 tenants include Bougainvillea/Frantic Fern, Blue Ocean Traders; CHANDRA; Interlude Home – Weiman; Pacific Green; Paragon/Propac Images; Steven Shell; URBIA; and Wesley Allen Inc.

Significant expansion in home décor has been a cornerstone of Las Vegas Market’s explosive growth over the past three years, with leading suppliers opening and expanding showrooms on décor-focused floors throughout the Market’s campus. In addition to the burgeoning home décor resources on B3, there are substantial concentrations of design-driven home décor resources on floors C1, C3, C4, C5 and Las Vegas Design Center (A1 & A2). Additionally, The Pavilions at Las Vegas Market showcase hundreds of temporary exhibitors in home décor categories including DESIGN, HOME, B HOME and DISCOVERIES, The Antique Vintage Marketplace.
