American Home Furnishings Hall Of Fame Foundation Adds Four New Board Members

The Board of Directors of the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation, Inc., reports that it has elected four additional board members to two-year terms, adding greater diversity to its leadership.

The new directors are Lorri Kelley, president of BDI Furniture; Bob Sherman, CEO of Restonic Mattress Company; David Swers, president and COO of Glen Raven Custom Fabrics; and Kim Yost, CEO of Art Van Furniture.

“The Hall of Fame is the only organization that embraces the entire industry, across all categories and all roles. Our new Board reflects the great diversity of the industry and the leadership needed as we move forward with aggressive initiatives to secure a permanent home for the Hall of Fame and to develop future leaders,” says Bob Maricich, president of the Foundation board of directors. “Each is a prestigious leader in their own field, committed to telling our story, preserving our history, honoring our leaders and creating leaders of tomorrow.”

The American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame Foundation is open to all home furnishings industry companies, organizations and individuals that do business in the United States. Membership includes eligibility to nominate candidates for consideration by the Selection Committee, and the opportunity to help preserve the history and heritage of the industry. The 2017 inductees – Donald H. Moray, chairman of Gorman’s Home Furnishings & Interior Design – will be honored with the American home furnishings industry’s highest honor at the Induction Celebration Oct. 15 at the High Point Market.
