Niki and Shaokao Cheng, the husband-and-wife design team, recently announced the official opening of two luxury home décor showrooms in Manhattan. On September 1, the very first Camerich brand design showroom in New York City will bow at a space that will also house the third Calligaris standalone showroom in the city. The new Calligaris and Camerich stores will be located at 144 West 18th Street in the Chelsea neighborhood of Manhattan.
The Chengs have owned and operated the BoConcept Franchise in New York and New Jersey for the past 14 years and look forward to further expanding the presence of Italian made Calligaris furniture in and introducing Camerich, a globally renowned design brand to the New York market. “We are thrilled to further expand the Calligaris brand in New York- they are known for affordable, classic Italian modern design with many pieces available for quick delivery from our warehouse,” says Niki Cheng. “Camerich offers global modernism with purity of form made with quality materials that last; the pieces reflect design trends with subtlety, giving them a timeless aesthetic.”
The Chelsea neighborhood with its roots in art and design was the next logical step for the Chengs’ planned expansion of the Calligaris brand and debut of Camerich. The new 4000 square foot Calligaris store will offer time tested designs from its 90-year history to the newest, innovative, functional, and customizable designs. The adjoining new 2500 square foot Camerich showroom will introduce New Yorkers to the innovative design aesthetic of the globally renowned company.
