In short, he is an ideal fit for Protect-A-Bed and our team,” said John Rachid, President of Protect-A-Bed. “As an industry leader, it is important for our organization to continually push forward. Keith’s innovative approach and bold thought process continues the Protect-A-Bed focus on being retailer’s number choice when it comes to bedding accessories.”

Since a warehouse job during college, Mackey has spent the last 30 years in the furniture and bedding industry, building a strong background across furniture retail. “Since my first job in the warehouse, I’ve been fortunate enough to work my way up through regional management, operations, merchandising, marketing and strategy,” says Mackey. “What drew me to Protect-A-Bed is the way the company understands and works with retailers, I firmly believe that between my experience and Protect-A-Bed’s focus on its partners, we can achieve great things.”

Mackey comes to Protect-A-Bed from Serta Simmons Bedding, where he has served as Senior Director of the Strategic Retail Group for over 8 years. As Senior Vice President of Sales, he manages Protect-A-Bed’s sales divisions, reporting directly to Protect-A-Bed President, John Rachid.
