Customatic Adjustable Bedz Names Experienced CPA as First Chief Financial Officer

Thomas Sleboda has joined the company and will oversee the company’s strategic forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis.
Customatic Adjustable Bedz recently announced that it has named an experienced certified public accountant as its first chief financial officer. Thomas Sleboda has joined the company and will oversee the company’s strategic forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis.
Sleboda has held a number of positions with a variety of companies, including a position as vice president and chief financial officer at Virginia Beach, Va.-based Maggie’s Enterprises, Inc., that operated 25 Mattress Discounters stores in Virginia and North Carolina. Sleboda advised the owners during its sale to Mattress Firm in 2010.
Most recently, Sleboda was the chief financial officer of RP55 Group, an apparel company based in Virginia Beach, Va., where he created new financial reporting, restructured tax reporting and more. Sleboda also held positions with Osen-Hunter Group, a government contractor, and Jones & Frank Corp., a distributor of petroleum filling equipment for fueling stations; Ocean to Ocean Seafood Sales, a frozen seafood distributor with locations in the U.S. and Canada; and Morven Partners, a food service company. He also worked as an independent contractor and worked with Florida bedding retailer to assist with the sale of the company and the subsequent transition.

Sleboda earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in accounting from Old Dominion University. In addition to his professional career, Sleboda spent 10 years in the U.S. Navy where he was a diver and a Navy Seal. Sleboda lives in Virginia Beach, Va., with is family.
