Custom upholstery manufacturer Sam Moore recently announced that it will introduce more than a dozen stationary and reclining designs to its expansive line at the upcoming Fall High Point Market. Exposed wood accent chairs continue to grow in popularity as a way to add panache and style to a room.

Sam Moore offers each of the 13 new chairs and three new recliners in any of more than 20 multi-step finishes, more than 500 fabrics and customers’ own materials (COM).

“Our new exposed wood chairs truly spotlight what Sam Moore does best – great design, intricate, multi-step hand finishes and on-trend fabric offerings,” said Frank Richardson, president of Sam Moore. “Wood chairs are like chameleons. The look completely changes depending on what fabric and finish you dress them in, and we make personalization easy for consumers with our multiple finish and cover options.”
With an emphasis on customization and personal style, new designs range from sophisticated modern to comfortably chic. Highlights of the new chair program include:

  • Calhoun: With a nod toward fashion, Calhoun features a deconstructed design and will be shown upholstered in a heavily textured linen. A high back, subtle roll arms and shapely legs that offer a dramatic curve from arm to floor give the silhouette an updated classic feel.

  • Vortex: Designed with an upholstered sling back, Vortex features a sophisticated shapely wood frame that envelops the back and seat. The chair will be featured in a textural twill.

  • Sassafrass: With a nod to mid-century modern styling, Sassafrass sits low and sports straight arms and angled legs for perfect pitch. Boxed cushions provide a welcoming seat.

In addition to its expanded wood chair line, Sam Moore will be introducing two other upscale recliners that feature “extra attitude and shape,” Richardson said.

Other Market introductions include eight club chairs, three small-scaled, refined office chairs designed for the home office, three settees and two decorative tufted ottomans.

Sam Moore’s High Point showroom is located in the IHFC at C-1058.
