A.R.T. Furniture Builds on ‘Epicenters’ Franchise with Miami-Inspired Collection

A.R.T. Furniture recently announced that it has added a new stop on the Epicenters design tour: the vibrant city of Miami, Florida. Epicenters 33127, named after a Miami zip code, will debut at the Fall 2017 High Point Market in their showroom, located at Plaza Suites 200.
Recognized around the world as a cultural trendsetter, Miami was a logical next step for Epicenters. “Miami is a truly global city with a unique character,” said Adam Tilley, Senior Vice President of Product and Marketing at A.R.T. Furniture. “From the urban chic of the Arts District and Wynwood to the intense energy of Miami Beach and South Beach, the city is rich in influences and inspiration.”
The new collection began in the spring of 2016 when the A.R.T. design team hit the streets of Miami with their notebooks open. “Our designers were particularly struck by the exciting contrasts and contradictions that characterize the Miami style,” said Tilley. “Casual textures mixed with glossy glamour, bright colors mixed with neutral tones, mid-century lines mixed with traditional forms. What they saw was a world of fantasy that was also highly livable.”
The Epicenters 33127 collection features cathedral elm veneers and New Zealand pine solids accented with everything from antique mirror and polished stainless steel to wallpaper, acrylic, woven cane, and white fossil stone. The collection’s finishes include washes, stains, matte and gloss paints, often over a subtle sand-blasted texture.
“The city’s bright, energetic personality comes through in every piece in the collection,” says Tilley. “Epicenters 33127 is a story that’s both casual and glamorous, a story of urban vitality and of original style.”
