Las Vegas Market Cultivates Better Home Décor Resources

Las Vegas Market recently announced that it will welcome some 60+ new and returning better home décor suppliers to the Winter 2018 Las Vegas Market, January 28-February 1, 2018. Nearly a dozen better home décor vendors will open new and expanded showrooms and more than 50 home décor temporary exhibitors will debut or return to the newly-expanded Pavilions at Las Vegas Market.

“Las Vegas Market is experiencing unprecedented levels of demand among leading suppliers of better home décor, and as a result, many showrooms and temporary exhibition spaces have been expanded and realigned to create logical category clusters and cohesive concentrations of design-driven resources,” said Julie Messner, Senior Vice President of Furniture and Home Décor Leasing, International Market Centers. “The home décor category is expected to be one of the highlights of Winter Market, with more than 1.1 million square feet of resources presented on 13 showroom floors in Buildings A, B and C, along with temporary exhibitions in the Pavilions at Las Vegas Market. As the leading furniture, home decor and gift destination in the western United States, Las Vegas Market continues to attract new resources, expand current offerings and refine the presentation of upscale home décor to better fulfill the needs of retailers and designers.”

Winter Market newcomers to C3, C4 and Salon West on C5 include: A. Sanoma (blown glass and accessories) in 850 square feet on C5; Akara Rugs (floor coverings) in 2,165 square feet on C3; and Crown Linen Designs (fine linens) in 978 square feet on C5. Additionally, two current C5 tenants – Fab Funky (whimsical art prints) and Mitchell Black (designer wall décor, home fragrances and candles) – are relocating and opening new showrooms on the floor. This activity bolsters an existing assortment of 110 permanent better home décor showrooms with nearly 200 lines across market.

Select floors in Buildings A and B – including the year-round Las Vegas Design Center on floors A1 and A2 – also feature a host of new and expanding home accent supplier showrooms. New-to-Market resources include: Bashian (luxury rugs) in 4,336 square feet on B3; Casamotion Glass & Lighting Corp. in 1,705 square feet on B3; Unbelievable Mats (floor coverings) in 1,506 square feet on A4; and Worldwide Lighting Corporation in 3,527 square feet on A4. Expanding resources include ZUO Modern (furniture & home décor), in a new 9,321 square foot showroom on A4.

In addition to new and expanding showrooms, home décor temporary exhibits also continue to grow, with the opening of a new third Pavilion at Winter Las Vegas Market. In line with this expansion, Pavilion 2 now will be the primary destination for all home décor-related temporary exhibits –HOME, DESIGN HOME and DISCOVERIES: Antiquities – as well as the first-ever co-location of Artexpo Las Vegas.

HOME showcases a concentration of accent décor, accent furniture, textiles, linens, and decorative accessories in 12,800 square feet. Key growth categories this winter are artificial and preserved botanicals, lighting, wall décor and home textiles. New, returning and expanding exhibitors in these categories are: Petal and Plume, Replica Plants + Décor and T&C Floral Company (botanicals); Continental Home, DesigneMode and newcomer Fuder Lighting (lighting); Airon, LLC, Leonard Collection & Custom Framing, Metal Magic, O’Keefe Prints, Picture King, StarLeads Solution LLC and West of The Wind Designs (wall art); and Earth Rugs, Homestead Textiles, Inc., Jaspa Herington and Vantage Crown Textiles (home textiles).

Also in Pavilion 2, the newly-developed DESIGN HOME will feature a juried presentation of some 25 suppliers of design-driven home décor, textiles and furniture, in 5,000 square feet. DESIGN HOME is curated to appeal to the interior design and luxury trade, and includes custom work, textiles, wallpaper and some west-coast centric aesthetics. Additionally, 60% of the category is leased to new and returning exhibitors from across the United States and around the world, including suppliers from Australia, France and Poland. Newcomers include: 1429 Mfg., Bilijardai Ltd./Vision Billiards, C+D Industry, Dowel Furniture, and Modshop, Planika Sp.; Expanding resources include: Art Hide and Amigos de Hoy, Modelli Creations, Vahallan and VANT Panels.

DISCOVERIES: Antiquities reflects a new segmentation of the Market’s antique and vintage offerings, showcasing immediate-delivery antique, vintage and one-of-a-kind home décor products in 18,200 square feet in Pavilion 2. DISCOVERIES returning and expanding resources are: Brayden & Brooks, Go Home, Kilim Home, Uber Chic and Vintage Addiction.

Pavilion 2 also will devote 13,800 square feet to the first-time co-location of Artexpo Las Vegas, a national showcase of fine art, sculpture, wall art, prints and one-of-a-kind creations designed to appeal to Las Vegas Market’s rapidly growing base of interior designers, architects, hospitality executives and upscale retailers.
