Vanguard Furniture Announces Grand Opening of New Showroom at The Las Vegas Market

Furniture World News Desk on 1/15/2018

Vanguard furniture announced the grand opening of new showroom at the Las Vegas market, January 28-February 1, 2018. The new, 3,250-square-foot showroom, which is on the first floor of Building A in the Las Vegas Design Center is open year-round. The showroom had a soft launch in July, and is now fully operational. Vanguard will be open for business on Sunday, January 28, the first day of market and a grand opening block party with its prestigious neighbors is scheduled for Tuesday afternoon, January 30th.
According to Vanguard Furniture president Andy Bray, “It is unlike any other showroom in Las Vegas. We’ve designed it to be an upscale boutique experience to reflect how fashionable retailers and interior designers merchandise their wares. The showroom combines an unusual mix of technology, customization and fashion, akin to the challenges faced by purveyors with small footprints and big ideas.”

Vanguard’s business model is simple. Unlike other furniture companies, it doesn’t try to re-create itself every six months. It challenges its A-list of designers to add to and improve upon existing collections. Because virtually everything Vanguard offers is available in hundreds of fabrics and leathers and unlimited finish options, as well as a myriad of custom features, it encourages interior designers to create one-of-a-kind signature pieces.

Vanguard shares showroom space with leading luxury bedding and accessories supplier Eastern Accents, allowing the two companies to cross-merchandise display vignettes that present merchandised furniture, decorative textiles and home accessories. “Our collaboration with Eastern Accents in a combined showroom is unique. It allows us to showcase a complete look and makes it easier and more convenient for buyers to shop,” added Bray.

Bray continued, “The new space has been a challenge in adapting what we normally include in our High Point showroom, which is more than 10 times as large. We will be using the smaller space to share a refined impression of the brand itself and using technology to help showcase our broad range of iconic styles and customization. We began trying to make our Vegas showroom look like an Apple store, but once we added colorful fabrics and refined customization–it became as much of a fashion statement as a technological achievement.”

The showroom will feature technology like Vanguard’s innovative “Make it Yours” visualizer where each designer starts with a clean slate and creates a custom piece of case goods, available for delivery in about six weeks. Bray opined, “Over the next decade there will be significant changes in the way that furniture is sold. There will be smaller footprints, technology will play at a larger role, but creativity and customization have never been more important. The literal definition of Vanguard means a group of people leading the way in new developments or ideas and we intend to be at the forefront of that transition.
