Blue Bell Mattress Promotes Two of its Sales Directors to Vice President.

Independent mattress manufacturer Blue Bell Mattress Company reports that it has promoted two bedding industry professionals to sales leadership positions. Both Leah Shaffer and Jonathan Gaspari have been named vice president of sales for Blue Bell. The pair will primarily work on large key accounts, but Shaffer will also lead sales for Natura, another Blue Bell licensing partner.

Shaffer joined Blue Bell in 2013 as director of sales for the company. She started her career with Simmons Bedding Co. in 2003 and held a number of key sales positions. Prior to leaving the company, she was senior strategic account manager. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.

Gaspari joined Blue Bell in 2015 as director of sales and has been responsible for the success of the company’s largest accounts in the Northeast. Prior to joining Blue Bell, Gaspari was director of national accounts for Simmons Bedding Co. He started his career in the bedding industry with Sealy where he held a number of positions, including national account training manager. In 2009, he joined retail buying group Furniture First as director of mattresses. He graduated from St. John’s University with a bachelor’s degree.


Shaffer and Gaspari report to Rebecca Gray, senior vice president of sales and marketing, and Richard Tauber, executive vice president of sales.
