Sam Moore recently announced that it will unveil nearly 40 new upholstery styles covered in fabrics inspired by popular trends in today’s marketplace at the upcoming April High Point Market, April 14 – 18.

The new silhouettes will be presented throughout six trend-inspired vignettes in the company’s showroom located at C1058 in the IHFC building, including Origins, Authenticity, Cozy, Ode to Green, Sun-Drenched and Modern Casual.

“Expanding on the success we had last Fall with our showroom update, we are evolving our merchandising strategy even further this Market by creating unique and impactful ‘stories’ for buyers to experience while visiting our space,” said Sandi Teague, vice president of sales and merchandising for Sam Moore. “Our new pieces will be presented in lifestyle categories portrayed through on-trend fabric offerings in a variety colors and textures to represent each of the six themes.”

Highlights of the lifestyle categories presented throughout the showroom include Origins, which draws inspiration from the traditional techniques of Raku pottery and will feature Shabori and wood blocked prints as well as traditional rug and mud cloth-influenced looks. Authenticity presents a “back to basics,” uncomplicated lifestyle though a mix of materials including natural linens with organic decay and botanicals in blush and charcoal hues. Cozy is highly influenced by "Hygge" – a Danish term defined as “a quality of coziness and comfortable hospitality that creates a feeling of contentment or well-being.” This trend focuses on adding balance, moderation and mindfulness through materials and fabrics including birch, shearling, cork and chunky textures. An Ode to Green features many shades of green from pear to sage, emerald to mossy hues, while Sun Drenched presents soft accents of blush, grey, soft blues and water-color florals. Modern Casual rounds out the six themes with a focus on neutrals mixed with deeper hues of brown, copper and moss green.

Sam Moore will once again have a large focus on exposed wood chairs this Market. Seven new carved wood chairs will be added covering a broad range of styles. Highlights include the Anders chair. With a nod to mid-century modern style, it is covered in a neutral tone shearling.

Seven new club chairs join the product line-up, including Oleander, which is characterized by button tufting on the inside back and plush green velvet upholstery. Two classic wing chair styles will be added, including the quirky Thiago which features unique stitching on the wings that can be upholstered in contrasting fabrics for a unique statement.

Additional introductions include two swivel chairs, a unique exposed wood frame rocker with a sleek Danish-modern feel, three new recliner styles, a sofa and sectional silhouette and several unique accent items including a rocking chaise lounger, a settee, a daybed, two bar stool styles and several ottomans with decorative stitching and multiple size options.

Filling a style void in the home office chair category, the company will also unveil a smaller-scaled desk chair with a refined style. All pieces are available in any of more than 20 multi-step finishes, more than 500 fabrics and customers’ own materials (COM).
