Warren Coomber Joins Furniture First Staff

Warren Coomber is a Mattress Industry veteran who has served in a wide range of positions over the last 30 years.

Furniture First recently announced that Warren Coomber has joined their staff as Director of Sleep Products and Mattress 1st Stores. Coomber is a Mattress Industry veteran who has served in a wide range of positions over the last 30 years. He started in retail as a student, working on the delivery truck at his family’s third-generation business and worked his way up to the General Manager, expanding it to a four-location sleep shop chain in the Seattle area called Bedzzz Mattress Outlet.

When the family exited retail, Coomber moved over to the wholesale side, beginning his 14-year stint with Sealy where he held many sales and training titles in CA, NC, and TX; Key Account Manager, Training and Development, Regional Manager for National Accounts and culminating in the position of Sr. Key Account Manager. After leaving Sealy, he joined International Bedding as VP of Sales for the Dr. Breus Bed line, and eventually moved to Kingsdown where he achieved success with their largest accounts in the Central Region.

In between some of these roles Warren jumped back over to retail where he worked for one of his best friends as the VP of Merchandising and Business Development of a 24-store west coast sleep shop chain, Mattress Land SleepFit.
