Hickory Chair recently announced that Suzanne Kasler’s much-anticipated new collection was inspired by her love of Paris. This beautiful new collection reflects her travels and draws inspiration from the romantic interiors in Paris and her love of collecting all things French. This exciting new collection of bedroom, dining room and living room furnishings are complemented by her first collection of lighting and accessories for Hickory Chair.

The new collection is a sophisticated blend of intricately detailed, hand-crafted wood products, as well as tailored upholstered pieces. Throughout the elegant offerings, architectural elements are highlighted with modern details and clean lines for a timeless look. Her debut line of lighting and accessories features boxes, trays, sculptures and image013.jpglamps to perfectly complement her new and existing furniture collection.

The collection will be showcased in a beautifully appointed space with classic limestone tiled floors and elegant de Gournay wallpaper custom made for Suzanne and the launch of the new collection. Her vision includes blush pinks mixed with her signature soft white, cream and taupe linens and velvets. A mix of Tawny, a light brown stain finish, will complement her favorite Hickory Chair finishes including, Dove White, Birch and Swedish White that she designed for Hickory Chair. A new aged, crackled finish, Alabaster, was inspired by the parchment finish on one of the antiques that Suzanne has collected for her home. This new finish will be featured on a number of her new pieces and will be available on most of the Hickory Chair assortment.

A refreshingly modern sofa and sectional named Lorraine is designed with a cantilevered base which gives the appearance of it elegantly floating just above the floor. Its inviting design with trim tuxedo back and arms is fitted with a buttoned bench seat cushion, a one piece loose back cushion, a pair of round bolsters and throw pillows. A companion sectional and chaises are also available. A beautifully hand carved mahogany French settee named Wimberly features open slats on the back and arms is both modern and classic. It will be shown in Swedish White paint with ivory linen trimmed in elegant soft pink contrasting welt. The new Verdun Credenza features three doors and fitted with elegant Golden Brass pulls, is shown right in the new Alabaster finish. It complements the French Moderne Laurent Arm Chair from the collection. The modern poster Normandy Bed provides an architectural element to the room with its mitered, upholstered foot and side rails to complement the upholstered headboard. An elegant chest with reeded molding and drawer fronts will be finished in Swedish White paint and is fitted with Golden Brass hardware that she designed. Unique side, end and console tables have been made in stone, wood and metal to add visual and textural interest to the collection.

“All of us at Hickory Chair are ecstatic with the new designs Suzanne has imagined for this new Paris Collection,” states Parker Goss, VP of Merchandising. She continues, “Elegantly tailored upholstered pieces from hand carved mahogany chairs to modern fully upholstered sofas showcase her design aesthetic and clear eye for proportion and scale. The wood products are made from fine mahogany and ash and some have beautifully made metal accents. The new lighting and accessories allow a designer to complete an installation for a special client with only Suzanne’s beautiful designs.” Both refined and casual, modern and classic, this new Paris  Collection is a beautiful complement to her existing collection and to the Hickory Chair brand.
