King Koil Inks First Major Retailer for its New Phoenix Plant

Furniture World News Desk on 6/6/2018

Mattress manufacturer King Koil recently announced that it has secured placement of a large array of its products at retail powerhouse Sit ‘n Sleep, which has 39 mattress superstores throughout Southern California. Sit ‘n Sleep is the first major West Coast retailer to add the King Koil line since the company announced it is shifting from a licensee model to a direct manufacturing model in the United States.

The Sit ‘n Sleep lineup now includes up to 23 King Koil models ranging from the promotional World Edition Collection to the high-end World Luxury Intimate Collection. In addition, the retailer will feature King Koil’s Limited Edition 120th Gold Collection, which is the cornerstone of King Koil’s 120th anniversary celebration in 2018, as well as the World Extended Life line, which is geared to big and tall consumers.

“Larry Miller and Nelson Bercier, the principals at Sit ‘n Sleep, are two of the most respected mattress retailers in the country, and we are proud they are the first major retailer to partner with us. We appreciate their large commitment in terms of product and the fact we will be represented in all 39 of their stores,” said King Koil CEO David Binke.

Products for Sit ‘n Sleep stores will be manufactured at King Koil’s new company-owned factory in the Phoenix suburb of Avondale, Arizona.

“We are thrilled to introduce King Koil in our stores,” said Miller, CEO of Sit ‘n Sleep. “They’ve provided people all over the world with amazing sleep for more than a century, and now we can finally offer King Koil’s technology and comfort to Sit ‘n Sleep guests. The line has something for everyone at all price points.”

King Koil’s quality craftsmanship includes its proprietary Perfect Contour Reaction encased coil system, and the line carries the endorsement of the International Chiropractors Association – part of an exclusive 50-year partnership with ICA.

More about King Koil: A leading global mattress manufacturer, King Koil supports more than 30 licensees in more than 90 countries where King Koil mattresses are manufactured and sold. Headquartered in the Chicago suburb of Willowbrook, Illinois, the company has a long, rich history that reaches back to 1898 when Samuel Bronstein founded United States Bedding in St. Paul, Minnesota. What started out as six employees in a small factory has continued to grow. During the 1930s, U.S. Bedding improved the bedspring and was looking for a new name for its product. From there, the King Koil name was born. For more information, visit  .
