King Koil Broadens Reach Of “Perfect Contour Reaction” Coil System

Furniture World News Desk on 2/13/2017

Bedding manufacturer King Koil reports that it is focused on expanding its proprietary coil system across several King Koil collections to be distributed worldwide. The Perfect Contour® Reaction coil system is designed to promote individualized comfort and support for all people of different shapes and sizes, was featured at the recent Las Vegas Winter Market.

Inspired in part by King Koil’s Australian licensee’s Reflex design and its success, the Perfect Contour Reaction coil system offers a unique combination of more than 1,000 conforming, active-encased coils working in tandem with the company’s reactive, smaller diameter firm coils to provide equal weight distribution. The result allows two people of different shapes and sizes to sleep side-by-side with equal comfort and individualized support.

Designed exclusively by Leggett & Platt for King Koil and tested by the International Chiropractors Association (ICA), the Perfect Contour Reaction coil system helps provide proper night time sleeping posture resulting in years of a healthier night’s sleep.

“Our exclusive Perfect Contour Reaction coil system is engineered to provide the individualized support each person needs for a restorative night’s sleep,” said Owen Shoemaker, president and COO of King Koil Licensing Co. “The importance of proper sleep posture is critical in waking well rested, and the reactionary response of the Perfect Contour Reaction unit improves proper sleeping posture while reducing motion disturbance.”

The Perfect Contour Reaction unit will be featured in several King Koil collections, including World Luxury™, World Extended Life™, World Luxury Intimate™, Laura Ashley®, and iMattress® Reaction. Within the company’s iMattress Hybrid Express Comfort, bed-in-a-box program, the Perfect Contour Reaction unit is surrounded by the new Reaction Q2 Edge coil system. With nearly 1,300 coils in these compressible hybrid mattresses, King Koil’s Express Comfort program further enhances the company’s message. Queen mattress retail prices will range from $999 to $2,999.

What started out as six employees in a small factory has continued to grow. During the 1930s, U.S. Bedding improved the bedspring and was looking for a new name for its product.
