Connie Post Expands Moe’s Home Collection Merchandising Program

Furniture World News Desk on 4/21/2017

Leading retail strategist and designer Connie Post is introducing four new color-based collections of decorative accessories and furniture at Moe’s Home Collection (IHFC D430) at Market this week, expanding the fast-growing Connie Post Select merchandising program to nine “plug-and-play” vignettes.

Designed to make shopping the Moe’s Home Collection line easier for retail decision-makers and consumers alike, Connie Post Select is a collaboration between Post and industry visionary Moe Samieian, Sr. Consisting of color and trend-driven product stories, the consumer-focused packages encompass all categories in the Moe’s Home line of lifestyle furnishings in exciting designer showcases.

“Presenting product at the wholesale level is very different from the challenges of wowing shoppers on a retail floor,” Post says. “When we introduced the concept with five collections last Fall, retailers quickly grasped that they could maximize sales-per-square-foot with a minimal footprint, while shoppers gravitate to the visually stimulating displays complete with tabletop and metal sculptures, wall décor, lighting, pillows, upholstered furniture, dining and occasional tables and accents like bookcases, bars and stools, all put together for them by a professional designer. Now, all retailers want is more!”

New this Market from Connie Post Select for Moe’s Home Collection:

Street Art
Scribbled and splashed with vibrant color and attitude, graffiti moves the energy of urban exteriors indoors, where multi-functional metal tables and a paint box cabinet on wheels maximize opportunities for small-space self-expression. Provocative motifs and a biker-chic skull sculpture are amped up with a downtown industrial vibe designed to engage and excite elusive Millennial shoppers.

Revived Classic
Neutral new traditionalist meets English country gentleman and gallops away with updated equestrian style. Designed to bring manor house living down to scale, watch for button-tufted upholstery and Grand-Mere’s chandelier given new life as a table lamp that marries an iron finish with the sparkle of bevels and bobeches. Take a seat at the round gun-metal dining table surrounded by classic cameo-back dining chairs for an intimate evening meal or a spot of tea with friends.

Copper Penny:
With the smooth style of a good relationship counselor, copper and rose golds are brought together for a fashionable look that suits both sexes beautifully. Get cozy in a plush, mosh-pit sofa, snuggle up with rosy Mongolian lamb pillows, and break out the bubbly at an industrial chic bar table paired with rustic black top-grain leather and iron barstools. Then sit back and gaze in satisfaction at the blend of dimensional golden bloom wall décor or deco-inspired, sculptural stone and aluminum heads with a mind for holding up your favorite art and architecture books.

Greenery:
Pantone threw the design world a curve with the 2017 color of the year. Connie Post Select makes decorating with the yellow-green of “greenery” easy-peasy for consumers by expanding its definition with appealing blue-greens, green-greens and even olives for a fresh blend of femininity with a modern vibe. Expect the nature-inspired dining table with mod-look chairs upholstered in durable fabric to grow on you, as will the natural look of petrified wood sculptures, lily pad and aspen-leaf inspired wall art and the spring-fresh charm of a bespectacled frog.

Media and Market-guests are invited to celebrate the launch with a special cocktail reception in the Moe’s Home Collection showroom featuring music by Jodie Davis, Saturday, April 22, from 4 to 6 p.m.
