Bunakara Announces Opening Of New York Showroom For Interior Designers

Bunakara recently announced that it has teamed up with Life Designs LLC, which represents some of the most innovative home furnishing and textiles lines in the industry, to open the Life Designs NYC Showroom for design professionals in New York City.
Located in New York City’s fashion district near the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, the 2,400-square-foot space will feature a variety of unique artists, designers and manufacturers represented by The Life Designs Group to offer high-end residential and hospitality design professionals the ability to experience products in-person in an upscale environment conveniently located in the heart of New York City.
“We are thrilled to open our new showroom in New York,” said Dixon Bartlett, U.S. national sales and marketing director for Bunakara. “The loft-style space is a perfect venue for us to continue to grow the Bunakara brand in the U.S. with the design trade as well as with editors and influencers in the design industry.”
An open house is set for May 16 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. to celebrate the showroom located at 330 W. 38th St., Loft 507. During the open house, Bunakara and the Life Designs Group will share information with designers and the media about the space and the Bunakara product line, designed by renowned international designer, Joana Aranha.
“Our vision for the Life Designs NYC Showroom was to become a convenient one-stop resource for designers to experience the most innovative and exciting home furnishings in the industry,” said Amy Lynn, principal of Life Designs LLC. “As a former retailer and designer, I knew at first sight that the Bunakara line would be a great fit for the space. It's so special and the attention to detail is absolutely refined. The Bunakara display within the space is certainly a show stopper.”
The new showroom will be open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. to the trade, by appointment. In addition, the showroom will be hosting events weekly including lunch and learns with designers as well as trend and color experts.
Bunakara furniture, home textiles and accents which are handcrafted in India, using beautifully authentic materials such as acacia wood, cotton, linen, natural dyes and sand-cast brass, will be exhibited in the space. Each piece also features an unexpected signature detail such as an iconic single painted chair leg, a hidden message on the inner core of a pillow, an ornate sand-cast brass ferrule on a simple acacia table leg or an intricate hand-applied lace appliqué. All the pieces also feature Bunakara’s signature, a beaded Flower of India insignia.
