Paula Deen Visits Greenville Retailer

Furniture World News Desk on 5/21/2017

Universal Furniture recently reported that more than 600 visitors awaited southern hostess and celebrated cook Paula Deen last week during her trip to Jeff Lynch Appliance and TV in Greenville, South Carolina. Deen was in town for two events promoting her new furniture collection with Universal Furniture and her most recent cookbook, “Paula Deen Cuts the Fat.”

On May 10, more than 80 local designers, retail partners and employees gathered for a private dinner with Deen. Guests enjoyed a beautifully catered dinner with low country favorites like shrimp and grits. The event featured a sneak preview of her new whole home collection, Bungalow, which will begin shipping this summer.

The following day Deen returned to Jeff Lynch to greet the public and sign copies of her low fat, healthy cookbook, “Paula Deen Cuts the Fat,” which features 250 of her favorite recipes modified to reduce calories, but not taste. Hundreds of fans gathered for the appearance and a chance to meet the author in person.

“We are thrilled with our partnership with Universal,” said Jeff Lynch President and CEO Mark Lynch. “Our success with Universal and Paula Deen Home continues to strengthen. Their ability to execute and support an event like this goes a long way with our brand and the community.”

“Mark and his team at Jeff Lynch are such a valuable retail partner with Universal Furniture, and they’re great supporters of the Paula Deen Home,” said Universal Furniture Director of Marketing Neil MacKenzie. “It was great to spend some time with them and see so many excited fans in Greenville.”
