POLaRT Designs’ “Bookie Bourbon Bookcase” Program Expands With 400 New Customization Options

Based on the success of the original Bookie Bourbon Bookcase, furniture manufacturer POLaRT recently announced that it will now offer the bookcase in the brand’s 400 signature bright colors and durable materials.

With a unique French Victorian inspired inside out design, each bookcase features four shelves and a choice of two color. POLaRT names each piece by blending a modern term with a vintage adverb, hence the name Bookie, for bookcase, and Bourbon, for the Bourbon royal family who ruled different places in Europe from the 16th to the 18th century.

The extended customization options coincide with POLaRT’s brand initiative of encouraging consumers to sit in the designer’s chair as they completely customize this bookcase inside and out.

Each POLaRT bookcase begins as a solid steel-welded frame that is placed in a giant mold filled with a polyurethane injection. Then it is finished entirely by hand, including sanding, painting and upholstering. This method ensures every design adheres to the brand’s high-quality standards.
