Picture Source Somerset to Introduce Artist Adelaide at High Point

Picture Source Somerset, curator of exclusive artwork for the design community, recently announced that it will introduce works by Adelaide, their newest in-house artist, at the October High Point Market, showroom IHFC C461. Known by a one-name pseudonym, press-shy Adelaide prefers her paintings to speak for themselves.

With a background as a mural artist, she complements Picture Source Somerset’s team of full-time artists with her versatility of style from loose abstracts to more detailed landscapes and other figurative subjects. Her most intricate creations will be sold as exclusive giclées on canvas. Her abstracts will be available as multi-originals (studio reproductions of her handprinted pieces).

“We are excited to have Adelaide on board because she brings a very different skillset to our original works,” says Julia Marks, chief visionary officer of Picture Source Somerset.  “She is extremely detail oriented with an amazing ability to capture a figure, gesture, and the angles of the face. She also has a gift for painting the subtleties of skin tones.”

Says Adelaide: “I’ve always loved art, and I’m happy to be able to continue impacting people’s lives with my paintings. My affiliation with Picture Source Somerset will broaden that impact.”

Picture Source Somerset evolved last year when Picture Source, a Seattle-based artwork purveyor to the design trade for the last 40 years, acquired Somerset Studios. The expanded company has increased production capabilities with a vast library of original artwork and an in-house art team. 

In addition to curating original artwork with a fashion-forward sensibility that appeals to the design community, Picture Source Somerset works closely with the trade to custom-size each piece to fit a particular location within a home or business. “All of our multi-originals can be scaled up or down based on their overall proportions,” says Marks. “They also are available framed or unframed. The same is true of our exclusive giclées. Each one can be custom sized and custom framed.”

Picture Source Somerset has showrooms in High Point and Settle. “We’re excited about enlarging our team with full-time artists like Adelaide,” says Marks. “Her talents increase our ability to provide exclusive artwork to meet the diverse tastes designers are seeking for their clients.”
